NAMI Eco-club organized a plantation program on 24 June, 2017 themed “Lets Start from the Lungs of the Earth: The Trees”. With the primary moto of protecting the environment, natural ecosystemand encouraging local participation about environmental sustainability, the location selected was 15 km away from the city, Gurje Bhanjyang, Nuwakot.Despite the heavy rainfall and hindrances in road we managed to reach our destination and planted 180 saplings of 8 different species. This program made a remarkable contribution in creating sense of responsibility among individuals and motivated us to accomplish a goal of a healthier environment. The integrated effort and continuous hard work of the NAMI Eco-Club has been appreciable and we hope to have such events that not only let the environments flourish but also help us connect with nature.
